Time to update the blog again! Here are finally pics of winter and Christmas. First we'll start off with pics from Dec. (As a side note, please excuse the weird layout of this posting. I've tried and tried to correct it but it keeps reverting back to the weird layout.) My little baker wanted to help me make a cake:

Ben's mom made snowsuits for her sons when they were little and she sent them to Gretchen to try out:

(She's being a bear in this pic.) Have you ever seen a ladybug during winter? Here's one! For some reason Gretchen wanted to put on her Halloween costume:

If, by chance, you
have seen a ladybug during winter, I'll bet you haven't heard one sing Jingle Bells:
This is Gretchen's first visit to Santa. She didn't care for him much but she didn't cry either:

Before Christmas Day we tried getting a nice pic of Gretchen in her Christmas outfit but she was much too silly this day:

Now for Christmas Day. We started the morning at Nana and Poppy's house with Julia's sisters and their families. First off was opening the stockings:
We took a break for breakfast and then opened the rest of the gifts:

Gretchen got a little overwhelmed with all the new toys as you can see in her eyes:
We're opening our gifts too:
Before dinner we went sledding down the hill Poppy had groomed for the occasion:
After dinner we took family pics:
Gretchen was pondering something so Ben and I joined in:
Trying to get 4 grandkids looking happy at the same time is almost impossible but also amusing:
