Birthday and Halloween

Our sweet Gretchen turned three on Sept 26! We had a birthday party with family members. Here's the cute birthday girl:

Baby and Haircut

On Sept. 2 we brought little Lawson home. Gretchen was excited to hold him!

Unfortunately he started crying...

...so she plugged him up with his paci.

Lawson is almost a week old in this next photo. How sweet is Gretchen?!

A sleeping baby is a beautiful thing:

Fortunately when Lawson is awake he's usually a happy baby and doesn't fuss.

Almost two weeks old:

At his two-week-old health check, he weighed 9 lbs, 10 oz (75%) and was 21.5 inches (75%). He's got the cheeks like his sister!

On Sept 15, Gretchen had her first haircut! She was such a big girl and did a wonderful job sitting still for the hairdresser. She got about 2 inches trimmed off.

New Baby!

August brought the long-awaited arrival of our sweet baby boy
Lawson Everett Miller! He was born on August 31 weighing 8 lbs, 14 oz and was 20 inches long. The following photos are from the day he was born.

Lawson was just a few hours old when Gretchen came to meet him. She was excited about him!

March - July

Since there are quite a few months to catch up on, here are the highlights from each month. (I again don't know why the spacing is off between the photos and the text. I've tried to fix it numerous times but with no luck.)

Loki is great with Gretchen and she likes snuggling up with him. By the way, she's done with the pacifier now since she was getting way too old for it.

Gretchen learned how to ride her tricycle and loves chasing Ben around.

Gretchen got purple fingernail polish as a treat and she wanted to put it on by herself.

June:
We went to the pond to feed the ducks.

During the end of June and beginning of July, we visited Ben's parents in Portland. While we were there, our sister-in-law Jamie and our college friend Teresa threw us a fantastic baby shower.
