10 Months Old

Our little chickadee is now 10 months old and it's amazing how much she has learned in this time! The following photos show how much she enjoys standing.

Every time I open the refrigerator door Gretchen is interested in the yogurt container so when it was empty I cleaned it up and gave it to her. It's now a favorite toy!

She's crawling! Notice how her left knee never touches the ground. It's odd but she gets around well this way.

She also found the dog chain and an old wallet.


She jumps so hard she actually "swings" in the jumper.

Dog & Dress

The dog, Loki, laid down by Gretchen and then she found his tail. It's hard to tell by the photos but she's actually flapping his tail up and down. Obviously she's having a great time and he's not so sure it was a smart idea to lay down next to her!

Gretchen looked so pretty in pink in her Sunday dress so I had to get some photos.

Videos

Recently a few videos have been taken of Gretchen doing a variety of "interesting" activities, especially since she's become more active and therefore interesting!

She loved this old birthday balloon.

She's learning how to drink from a cup, although I don't think much water is actually getting in her mouth.

She's not crawling in the traditional sense but instead does a funny scooting motion.

She's good at standing and holding onto furniture and objects.

One night as she was standing in between my legs, she started giving me "zerberts" on my bare skin. We couldn't resist a video of it!

4th of July

It's a week late but here are photos of the 4th of July weekend.

In the Pool

Pool party! Gretchen and cousin Callia had a great time in the pool. This was Gretchen's first time and she loved it!

9 Months Old

Gretchen turned 9 months old last Friday and had a wellness check-up at the doctor's office on Monday. She's developing right on track. She weighs 17 lbs. (25th percentile) and is 28" long (70th percentile). We're thankful everything looks good! She now has 4 teeth - two on top and two on bottom. She still isn't crawling but is pulling herself up to stand. And she still has crazy hair that goes every which way!
